UNC System first to answer Secretary McMahon’s reform challenge

“US Education Secretary Linda McMahon issued a proclamation to US universities asking that they respond to the Federal government edicts mandating DEI reform, the need for merit based admissions and faculty hiring/promotions, as well as the prohibitive cost of a college education. The UNC Chancellor responded withing 2 weeks with a detailed 11 page memo confirming UNC is one of the few university systems truly addressing these issues. The College Fix published an August 20 article validating that UNC is an exemplar for AFSA as well as colleges nationwide.”
